Founded in 1999 with the intent of creating a place for design professionals to collaborate, cooperate and create, factor[e] has emerged as a leader in the design industry, forging a reputation for delivering dynamic and effective results.

Tyler Cowie CEO / Creative Director
Tyler has been working in the design industry for more than 10 years in the areas of illustration, animation, video post production, video editing, branding, and packaging design. He has worked in a wide variety of industries in North America and Europe from the entertainment industry to not for profit organizations. At factor[e] Tyler's roll is art direction for print and multi media, new business development, video production and editing, branding, key art development and illustration.
Tom Creighton Associate Creative Director / Information Architect
Tom has been involved in the design industry for more than 10 years, with a focus on web and interaction design. After completing Sheridan College's post-graduate New Media Design programme, he worked with both small local agencies and nationally recognized companies before coming to factor[e].
Adrian Duyzer Director, Web Division
Adrian graduated from the Computer Science - Software Engineering programme at Mohawk College in 2000. He has over a decade of professional programming and project management experience, with a focus on complex application development and database design. He believes the key to building great web applications is close communication with clients and an insistence on technical excellence and robustness.
Michelle Hayward Production Designer
After graduating in 2006 from Mohawk College's Advertising and Communication Media program, Michelle began her internship at factor[e]. Since joining our full time staff, she has been working as a production designer, energetically providing her creative ideas, top-notch service and detailed quality control to our clients.
Jenn Hunt Production Manager
Jenn discovered the world of print after dabbling in photography, art, writing and real estate. After completing a BA in English at McMaster University and a diploma in Multimedia at Niagara College, Jenn spent 5 years at The Equicom Group, working primarily on complex book projects for business communications before joining factor[e]. Jenn brings eight years of experience in project planning, design, layout, typesetting, art preparation and procurement, pre-press, QA, project coordination and client/vendor liason - and a focus on quality and timeliness - to all of factor[e]'s print projects.
Mark Lessard Programmer
Mark graduated from the Computer Science - Software Engineering program at Mohawk College in 2000 and is currently working towards his MSc at Athabasca University. He has experience developing in a variety of different platforms and brings sound design skills and a eye for detail to the table.
Brian Potstra Graphic Designer
After graduating from an education in industrial design, Brian soon realized that his real passion and talent lied in the area of graphic design. Mostly self-taught, Brian has since acquired a vast amount of experience in the graphic design industry, picking up new skills and refining his style along the way. With specialties including typography, branding/identity design, photography and web design, Brian has become a valuable asset to factor[e].
Teresa Reid Bookkeeping / Office Management
Teresa is indispensable in keeping the office running - administering the day-to-day reality of coordinating a busy business. Client liaison, account manager, and post-project follow-up - no detail is too small.
Sean Roberts Web Developer / Marketing Manager
Sean has been programming websites for as long as websites have been around. Maturing alongside the technology over the last decade and change, Sean turned hobby into career when he joined the factor[e] team in 2005. Since then he has graduated from Sheridan College's advertising programme and has taken on the duties of marketing manager in addition to slingin' code.
Jamie Allen Web Developer
Jamie is an experienced artist, graphic designer/programmer, communications coordinator, social media analyst and web developer. These skills give him the ability to create powerful online tools. His keen attention to detail, strong visual background and rich understanding of the world of social media make Jamie a valuable member of the factor[e] team.
